Uranium Resources Inc ("URI"), which is listed on the NASDAQ, holds a suite of uranium development assets in Texas and New Mexico. URI has historically produced over eight million pounds of uranium from its two fully licensed in-situ recovery ("ISR") plants in Texas. The company also has 101.4 million pounds of uranium resources in New Mexico that can be mined using both conventional and ISR methods. URI is undertaking a three pronged strategy which includes advancing its NRC licensed Section 8 project in New Mexico into development and production, increasing its resource base in Texas to allow it to restart production at its existing licensed facilities there and consolidating the Grants Mineral Belt of New Mexico (historically the most significant US uranium production region) through M&A activity such as the proposed acquisition of Neutron Energy (currently moving through regulatory and shareholder approval).
