Investment Team Analyst – Denver
Resource Capital Funds is a group of commonly managed private equity funds, established in 1998 with a mining sector specific investment mandate spanning all hard mineral commodities and geographic regions. The PE Funds team is looking to hire an Analyst for a position based in Denver, Colorado.
Essential Job Functions
- Research and analyze complex financial data, performing due diligence in evaluating potential Fund investments.
- Model and analyze actual and projected cash flows of potential investments based on reserves data and production and cost estimates.
- Review and analyze project feasibility studies, financial statements and other data pertaining to potential investments.
- Analyze and communicate on the full spectrum of risks and potential for mining operations.
- Make recommendations regarding potential investments in mining companies and projects.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic background. Graduate degree is preferred but not required. Mining related degree is also preferred but not required.
- Three to five years of industry experience working in exploration, operations or consulting in mining or related sectors, or as a resource-focused brokerage analyst, corporate advisor or investment banker.

- Passion for and/or strong interest in the mining and minerals industry.
- Ability to influence critical decisions using both formal and informal authority.
- Additional language skills a plus, as well as international travel and experience living in different cultures
