Ian C. Burvill

| Mr. Burvill is based in Perth, Western Australia, where he coordinates the Funds’ Australian investment activities. Since joining Resource Capital Funds in late 2001, he has worked on all of the Funds’ major Australian investments. In 2002, he led RCF II’s investment in SouthCoal’s leveraged buy out (LBO) of a coking coal mine in New South Wales. In 2004, he initiated RCF III’s LBO of QMAG’s magnesite mine and magnesia process plant in Queensland. Mr. Burvill played a major role in RCF II’s and RCF III’s investments in St Barbara Mines from 2002 to 2005, including funding for the triple Western Australian gold region buy-out. In 2005, he also assisted with Australian Solomon Gold’s RCF III funded acquisition of a gold project in the Solomon Islands. As a representative of RCF, Mr. Burvill has sat on the Boards of two listed companies and two major private companies. Prior to joining RCF, he was in the resource banking department of N.M. Rothschild & Sons, and previously to that he worked as an engineer for mineral processing consultants in Australia and the USA. Mr. Burvill holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Western Australia. |
